About KATYÉ

Katyé serves Haitian-inspired plates, signature drinks and catering in Morrisville. The dining room works as a social lounge, with a regular events calendar: comedy showcases, movie nights, Konpa and Kizomba socials, World Cup watch parties and brunches. Dishes include griot, tasso kabrit, diri ak djon djon and Haitian spaghetti. The space can be booked for private celebrations, showers, micro-weddings and corporate gatherings, either fully hosted or as a rental.

Katyé grew out of the Lafortunes' food business. In 2015 Dafney and Andre founded what the site calls the first Haitian catering company in the Triangle. It became a popular food truck and later inspired a food festival. "Katyé" means "neighborhood" in Haitian Creole.
