About FatBoys Food Shack

FatBoys Food Shack serves fried seafood, wings and Southern sides in Wake Forest. The kitchen fries whole hens stuffed with mac and cheese, collard greens, yams or dirty rice, and builds po'boys on hoagie rolls. Seafood platters come with coleslaw and hush puppies. Dessert runs to signature funnel cakes, deep-fried Oreos and ice cream. The business also caters, books private parties and runs food trucks at breweries and festivals.

FatBoys has served the Raleigh/Durham area for over a decade. The owners began cooking on a pig cooker grill, moved into mobile food units, then opened brick-and-mortar restaurants. They serve at breweries, apartment communities, neighborhood clubhouses and events including Dreamville Festival at Dorothea Dix Park, Brewgaloo Beer Fest and the Raleigh Downtown Food Truck Rodeo.
