Locs are the house speciality — starter installs (micro locs, comb coils, loc extensions, wicks), maintenance by interlocking, palm roll or wick, microloc maintenance, and loc restoration. Beyond that the menu covers knotless braids in every size and length from large mid-back to small/medium waist, feed-in braids, Marley twists, and a full natural-hairstyle list: silk press, blowout, wash and go, two-strand twist, cornrows, rod and flexi rod sets, flat twists, cuts and trims. Colour and specialty cuts are by consultation. Kids’ styles ten and under get 10% off. Clients bring their own hair for extension services. It is also an academy — the salon trains stylists as well as serving guests — and the room is run as a wellness space as much as a salon, with a co-owner who teaches yoga and meditation alongside natural hair. Open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm.

Locs, Naturals & More has been on East Main Street in Garner since 1998 — more than twenty-five years in natural hair. The salon calls itself a sanctuary first and a salon second, and builds the business around mind-body and community health rather than chair turnover. Co-owner Major has specialised in locs for over twenty years and teaches yoga, meditation and natural hair; the rest of the team, Crown and Myriah, work across locs, braids and natural styling. Alongside the salon LNM runs an academy training the next set of natural hair stylists.
