About Hotville Chicken (DULANVILLE FOOD TRUCK)

Nashville-style hot chicken, brined and fried with family spice recipes, served alongside Southern side dishes, drinks, and scratch-made desserts. Owner Kim Prince pitches it to "heat seekers" as a taste of Nashville in Los Angeles. The food is also served on the road via the DulanVille food truck, with upcoming dates posted online.

Kim Prince descends from the Nashville family credited with creating hot chicken: her great-great uncle Thornton Prince and his brothers opened the BBQ Hot Chicken Shack in 1936, later renamed Prince's Hot Chicken Shack in the 1980s. Prince brought the family recipes to Los Angeles, beginning with pop-up dinners, including a run on the Feastly app starting in November 2016 and a pop-up at Dulan's on Crenshaw, before moving toward a brick-and-mortar location and food truck. She has said she wants to stay true to the roots of what her great-great uncle started in the 1930s.
