About TresLife Curl Bar Salon

TresLife Curl Bar is at 119 Wind Chime Court, Unit 2 in north Raleigh — a luxury salon built specifically for curly, kinky, coily and wavy textures, and the salon home of the TresLife natural hair line. Salon services centre on treatment rather than styling: a detoxing treatment, an ultra-moisture steam hydration treatment, a coconut milk and honey treatment, wash-and-go, spa-like scalp massages, and natural treatments and pampering for girls under 12. Underpinning all of it is The Regimen, a stylist-created five-step system — detangle and pre-poo, cleanse and condition, nourish, style, refresh — made in-house in small batches with fresh natural, paraben-free ingredients rather than mass-produced. Every new client must book a consultation first, virtual or in person, so the stylist can analyse their hair and plan treatment; booking an appointment without one results in cancellation. The salon is card-only, takes a non-refundable 25% deposit at booking, requires 24 hours’ notice to cancel or the full service cost is due before rebooking, and blocks no-shows. Late arrivals may be rescheduled or have the service shortened, and are still charged in full. The product line is sold in the salon and online — shampoos and cleansers from $15.99, deep conditioners and moisturisers around $18–$19, whipped shea butters at $19.99, gels at $29.99, hair growth oils at $29.99, plus teas, tea rinses, herbs, tools and skincare. Curated bundles run from $120.16 (Detangle Me) to $160 (Moisturize Me), with Wash and Go, Twist Me, Loc Me, Grow Me and Detox Me in between, and a build-your-own 5-Step Regimen. Gift cards are available for both the salon and the shop, and TresLife also runs The Academy, an education and community programme, and sells wholesale.

TresLife began as LaTanya Lodge’s own problem. Transitioning off a relaxer and unsure how to care for or style her natural hair, she bought product after product and still redid her hair every day — everything she found styled the curl and left it dry, weak and lifeless by the following morning. She wanted a formula that did both: define and hold, and genuinely restore health, hydration and strength. She describes praying for direction and receiving the vision for a balanced formula, and treats the work since as a divine assignment rather than a business plan. A licensed cosmetologist, she built the line handmade, all-natural and paraben-free, made in-house in small batches. But she recognised the products only solved half of it. Women with curly, kinky, coily and wavy hair had long been overlooked and mocked for their texture, and taught to treat their own hair as a problem to be fixed or hidden. There was no space that treated those textures as the standard rather than the exception. So in 2022 she opened the first TresLife Curl Bar — a high-end salon built for natural textures, where clients are pampered with steam hydration, coconut milk and honey treatments and scalp massages, and educated about their own hair type on the way out, leaving with a regimen rather than just a style. TresLife is known for its five-step Regimen to Healthy Hair and for rebuilding the confidence of the women it calls its CurlFriends. Alongside the salon and the product line it now runs The Academy, teaching women to care for their hair at home.
