About Tony's Auto Service

Tony's Auto Service began in 1967 as Tony's Gulf Service, a three-bay gas station on Commonwealth Avenue run by owner Tony Damiani. In 1979 the business moved to a 30-bay facility at 1112 First Street in Old Town Alexandria, where it remained for about 40 years. Tony Damiani died in January 2021, and the business and its staff joined Yates Automotive, a family-owned and operated shop serving Alexandria since 1964. Existing customer maintenance records from Tony's were retained at the Braddock Rd. location.
