About The Lab Coffee - Heights

A Tampa coffee shop serving locally roasted specialty coffee alongside bagels hand rolled with a 24-hour fermentation and baked fresh daily, in plain, everything, asiago, and jalapeno cheddar. The espresso and coffee offerings rotate regularly, and baristas will help build a drink or talk through the options. Retail beans are sold by the bag, including the Brazil Cerrado natural with notes of bakers chocolate, pecan, and toffee, and the Medusa Espresso Blend combining Brazil Cerrado and Colombia Caldas; a roaster's-pick subscription ships freshly roasted coffee every two weeks. Beans are roasted to order early in the week and shipped a day or two later.

The business started by renting out a spare room in a small building and has since grown to three locations, serving hundreds of thousands of coffees a year. It is owned and operated by three Tampa natives.
