About That Curl Girl

A solo salon run by Laura J. Schroeder, a curly hair specialist who works with one client at a time. Services cover all hair types with an emphasis on curly hair, chemical work and hair color, plus formal hair styling. Laura is a member of Curly Hair Artistry, a Deva Inspired Stylist, and a certified Head Shape Matters stylist. Products from lines including Innersense Organic Beauty, Olaplex, Malibu C and Beachwaver are available through affiliate links.

Laura is originally from St. Louis, Missouri, and chose cosmetology school over college after high school, entering the salon industry in 1985. She pursued advanced training through workshops with Wella and Nick Arrojo in New York City and trade shows abroad, including Hair World 2000 in Berlin. A love of science led her to specialize in chemical services and color, and she went on to educate for the Goldwell, Wella, and Aveda color lines. She now lives in Easley, South Carolina.
