About Sprinkles and Spoons Gluten-Free Bakery
A from-scratch bakery whose kitchen is 100% gluten-free and wheat-free, run by a baker with Celiac Disease, so there is no cross-contamination risk. Cookies, biscuits, scones, and baked donuts are available daily, with a rotating weekly menu of 10 or more items and scheduled specials including pop tarts every Saturday, kolaches the first Saturday, cinnamon rolls the third, and conchas the fourth. Cookie cakes and cupcakes can be ordered for celebrations with customized flavors and colors, though not fully custom designs, and two weeks' notice is recommended. Orders can be picked up at the Vance Jackson storefront or delivered through Favor; items often sell out before closing.
Owner and head baker Amber grew up baking with her mother and was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 2009. Frustrated by the quality of gluten-free baked goods available, she set out to make better ones, working as a professional recipe developer and testing recipes for more than ten years. Since opening the bakery she has expanded the menu in response to customer requests, from conchas to zebra cakes.
