A fast-food style American spot in Glen Cove serving made-to-order burgers, hot dogs, hand-cut fries and Philly cheesesteaks, with soda and beer to go alongside. Ice cream is a draw in its own right, and there is an outdoor area plus takeout and delivery through DoorDash. Catering is available, and the Sid's food truck can be brought to a backyard or event to serve guests directly.

Founded in 2014 by Glen Cove native Ross McCalla, the restaurant is named for Sidney Canarick, born in Glen Cove in 1916. Canarick was a four-letter athlete at Glen Cove High School, the winning quarterback in the first Orange Bowl game in 1935 while at Bucknell, a Navy lieutenant commander in the Pacific, and a Glen Cove dentist for more than 50 years, later inducted into the Glen Cove Hall of Fame. The restaurant frames itself as a hometown family establishment carrying on his commitment to the community.
