About Panther Coffee - Wynwood

A specialty coffee company that sources, roasts in small batches, and serves coffee at its own roastery cafés, with a roasting house in Miami and a second in Traverse City, Michigan. Beans are sold as single-origin lots and house blends — including 1927, 1985, East Coast, Cold Brew, the organic CASA and MEJOR, and a Mountain Water decaf from Brazil — available whole bean or ground for espresso, Aeropress, Chemex, pourover, drip, French press, or cold brew. The company also runs a wholesale program serving cafés, restaurants, hotels, and markets, plus events and catering. Sustainability work includes rainwater tanks in Uganda, drying beds with the Café Cocano cooperative in Haiti, and composting cold brew grounds in Miami.

Founded in Miami in 2010 by Leticia and Joel Pollock, who met at a coffee convention and set out to build a wholesale and retail specialty coffee company. On a 2008 visit they found Miami full of traditional Cuban coffee shops and coffee lovers but without a specialty scene, and opened their first roastery café in Wynwood. The business has since grown to multiple locations across Florida, New York, and Michigan, with a second roasting operation added in Joel's hometown of Traverse City in 2020. The name came from their travels in Latin America, where animal branding was common; Joel's cousin Benji Andrews drew the logo.
