About Mitchell's Salon & Day Spa

A full-service salon and day spa with five Cincinnati-area locations, offering haircuts, coloring, extensions, perms, conditioning, microblading, make-up, and services designed for men, alongside manicures, pedicures, waxing, body scrubs and treatments, facials through its Skin Institute, and therapeutic massage. Bridal and wedding party packages, spa parties, and spa treatment packages are available, along with gift cards. The newly renovated Tri-County location includes a spa lounge seating up to eight, dedicated manicure and pedicure rooms, a couple's massage room, locker rooms, a color processing room, free parking and wi-fi, and complimentary beverages. Stylists complete intensive in-house training and continuing education before working the floor.

Deborah Mitchell Schmidt, a Cincinnati native and University of Cincinnati graduate, opened Mitchell's for Hair, Skin & Nails on Montgomery Road in 1983 with ten employees, and started the first Cincinnati stylist education program combining theory and hands-on work. The salon moved to Kenwood in 1988, created its signature "The Mitch" haircut in 1991, and expanded to Tri-County in 1993, Hyde Park in 1994, West Chester in 2003, and Lytle Park downtown in 2024. Since 1987 the company has brought internationally known stylists and educators to Cincinnati to train its team. Deborah's daughter, Logan Mitchell Hines, now carries the business forward, which marked 40 years in 2023.
