About Mark & Val Wines

Mark & Val Wines is an urban winery in York, Pennsylvania, with a second tasting room in Columbia. The small-batch wines run sweet to dry, including Blood Orange Sangria and Diablo Rojo. Mark & Val Wines began with a home wine-making kit ten years ago. The hobby filled the owners' basement, so they applied for a limited winery license to sell legally. Their first location was that basement; the second, at 1205 E. Philadelphia St., houses the tasting room. They describe themselves as one of Pennsylvania's first Black-owned wineries, created to promote Black excellence in the wine industry.
