A Bloomsburg law firm concentrating on elder law, life care planning, estate planning and administration, probate, Medicaid planning, asset protection, guardianship, special needs planning and Social Security disability, with offices in Bloomsburg and State College serving central and northeastern Pennsylvania. Lead attorneys Marianne E. Kreisher and Marissa B. Marshall are Certified Elder Law Attorneys certified by the National Elder Law Foundation, and both are accredited to practice before the Department of Veterans Affairs. Two affiliated divisions extend the practice: KMA Guardianship & Fiduciary Services, whose nationally certified guardians serve as privately retained and court-appointed guardians, and KMA Real Estate Settlement Services, which handles real estate transactions and title insurance. The firm has four attorneys and 14 staff, including elder care coordinators, certified Medicaid planners and public benefits coordinators, and publishes caregiver resources such as the PA Care Kit and a life care planning book.
The firm was founded in 1971 by William S. Kreisher at its Market Street office in Bloomsburg, and became Kreisher & Gregorowicz in 1978 when Michael Gregorowicz joined as partner. It later added Market Street Abstract, now KMA Real Estate Settlement Services. In 2019, William Kreisher's daughter Marianne E. Kreisher and Marissa B. Marshall took over, renamed the practice Kreisher Marshall & Associates, LLC and focused it on elder law. Marianne's grandfather and great-grandfather were attorneys and local county judges, giving the family roots in Columbia County going back more than 140 years.
