About Island Delights Caribbean Restaurant (Food Truck)
Island Delights Caribbean Restaurant serves authentic Caribbean and Jamaican food in Winchester. The menu covers curry chicken, brown stew chicken, jerk chicken, oxtails, pepper steak, curry goat and fish entrees, all served with rice and beans, steamed cabbage or fried plantains. Sandwiches, wraps, wings, kid's meals and weekday lunch specials round it out. Jamaican sodas and bottled sauces are sold. Casual, non-smoking dining. Military and law enforcement get 10% off.
Dinia Smith moved to the Winchester area with her daughter and partner Kenisha Bridgemohan in 1999. She opened Island Delights Caribbean Restaurant in May 2008 after sharing her cooking through informal catering. The small family-run eatery began at 805 N. Loudoun Street and is moving to a new location at Throx Market Station.
