Plant-based takes on the DC half-smoke, the local hot dog known as a "glizzy," alongside vegan sammies and sides. Ordering is available online through DoorDash, and the company also handles catering. The menu draws its inspiration from the neighborhoods of the nation's capital.
Founders Dontrell Britton and Nathan Headspeth started the company around the idea of making a plant-based glizzy and building a place where people could eat quality vegan food in a setting that feels like home. Both grew up in Northwest DC facing considerable hardship: Dontrell's father was shot and killed in Adams Morgan when Dontrell was 16, and he was later incarcerated for four years on a drug conviction before becoming a certified personal trainer. The two run a Glizzys Crew Youth Program and are committed to hiring and mentoring at-risk youth.
