About Fork & Barrel

Upscale American cooking on Frankfort Avenue built on local ingredients, craft cocktails and Southern hospitality, with familiar comfort dishes prepared with classic technique and a partly seasonal menu. Signature plates include short rib, sea bass, the F&B wedge, a charcuterie board, triple chocolate brownie and cocktails like the Spicy Pom-Loma. Daytime service centers on Morning Fork brunch, available for reservation or online ordering, plus in-home family dining. Evenings have shifted from regular dinner service to private dining for celebrations, corporate dinners and curated culinary events such as a Yellowstone Bourbon pairing dinner with Limestone Branch Distillery.

Geoffrey and Emily Heyde started the restaurant with the aim of offering as much Southern hospitality and charm as one restaurant can hold. It is Geoffrey Heyde's first solo project after graduating from the Culinary Institute of America in 2000 and cooking at several Louisville restaurants; he serves as owner and executive chef. The couple recently refocused the business on brunch and converted the evening space into a private event venue to balance the growing business with their growing family.
