About Eureka NAACP

The Eureka branch of the NAACP, founded in 1952, is the local chapter of the national civil rights organization serving Humboldt County. It works to secure political, educational, social, and economic equality and to eliminate race-based discrimination through its Legal Redress Committee and community programs. The chapter holds monthly Zoom meetings and offers social and educational activities to build cultural competency in the community.
