Caterer in Brooklyn, NY
A full-service off-premise caterer working in regional African, Nigerian, Caribbean, American and global fusion cuisines, in both authentic and fusion styles. Services cover weddings from 50 to 600-plus guests, corporate meetings, galas and fundraisers, nonprofit and cultural celebrations, social events, and drop-off catering, along with event staffing, rental coordination and event planning. Work is run out of a Brooklyn production kitchen and extends to the greater NYC area, the Hamptons, Long Island, New Jersey, Connecticut and destination events abroad. Menus are built around each client's cultural must-haves and personal favorites, with ingredients sourced from local farms, butchers and specialty markets. A portion of annual profits funds a yearly holiday dining experience for a local shelter through Serving God's Love.
Chef and owner Grace Odogbili, a Nigerian-American born and raised in Brooklyn, first cooked at her parents' small basement Brooklyn church, helping prepare and serve monthly outreach dinners for neighbors and local shelters. After earning a BA at Stony Brook University and working in financial services, she studied the Essentials of Fine Cooking at the French Culinary Institute. Following a 2009 layoff she launched Dining With Grace and went on to study hospitality management at a community college, where she developed her modern Pan-African catering style. The business has served clients for over 12 years.
