The business grew out of time spent in the owner's grandmother's kitchen, watching her bake for the family. Baking later became a form of therapy through a period of personal tragedy, and the owner kept practicing—kitchen disasters included—with family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers serving as taste testers. Everything is still baked in the owner's own kitchen.
