About Cen-Tex African American Chamber of Commerce

The Cen-Tex African American Chamber of Commerce supports African American and minority-owned businesses across Central Texas. Members get one-on-one business consulting, free co-work and meeting space, grand openings and networking events. The affiliated Center of Business Excellence runs a minority business equity fund offering short-term grants or loans. Esther's Closet provides women with professional workwear, resume help and mock interviews. Youth programs include Lemonade Day Waco and Young CEOs.

Founded in Waco, Texas in 2004 as a non-profit promoting African American business growth and removing economic barriers. The Chamber later earned BBB accreditation. In 2023 it relocated to 715 Elm Avenue, gaining more space, new equipment and added programs in credit improvement and homeownership.
