About Black Business Association of Memphis
The Black Business Association of Memphis is a nonprofit trade association working to improve the economic well-being of the Memphis region. BBA develops entrepreneurs and minority- and women-owned businesses through education, advocacy, counseling, networking and business development programs. Initiatives include Memphis ReStart, focused on talent, acquisitions and connections, the Business Booster program for restaurant, food, tourism and hospitality businesses, Build to Scale, and a Digital Ribbon Cutting program. Membership and events are offered.
BBA was founded in 1974 and describes itself as one of the oldest and largest trade associations of its kind in the Mid-South. The organization is transitioning to become the Black Chamber of Memphis.
