The company traces back to 1997, when Leon and SuEllen Yoder started Legendary Designs, a business signage shop, and later launched Black Anvil Media in 2012 to focus on websites, digital platforms, and image consultation. Viewfinder Creative was formed in 2017 by Justin Stoltzfus and Elliot Mullet, specializing in photography and print products such as catalogs and flyers. After collaborating on client projects, the two firms merged in 2023 to form Black Anvil Creative. The team reports more than 80 years of combined marketing and design experience.
