About Amanda's BarBeeQue

Amanda's BarBeeQue serves Georgia-style barbecue from a pink food truck and caters events. Meats get a dry rub and slow smoke over pecan wood, with a sweet and tangy sauce on the side. Catering ranges from drop-off boxed lunches and office breakfasts to weddings, festivals and full-service events, with whole roasted pig and carving stations available. Vegetarian and vegan options are offered. Award-winning smoked wings are a signature.

Amanda Kinsey-Joplin began cooking in 2013 to raise money for her son's trip to China, borrowing her mother's grill and selling on Atlanta street corners. She had taught early childhood special education for over 17 years and learned barbecue watching her grandmother. Demand grew, she left teaching and rented shared kitchen space. The business now runs full-time with her husband, Alex Joplin.
