Cafe and wholesale bakery specializing in gluten-free baked goods and a variety of teas.

1823 Bakehouse is jointly owned by Elissa McKee, Thomas Moore, and Heather Wenning. McKee and Moore, natives of Franklin, Indiana, purchased the former Suzy's Teahouse and Bakery space in 2018; the business was established in 2015. Moore's celiac disease shaped the bakery's focus on gluten-free, celiac-safe food. The name honors 1823, the year Franklin was founded.
