About 1 Salon Life Academy

1 Salon Life Development Academy is a nonprofit hair-braiding and beauty education program for youth ages 7 to 18. Students learn braiding techniques including knotless braids, along with salon protocol, facial and nail care basics, sewing, and career-development skills, alongside mentoring and community-service programming.

Operating as 1 Salon Life Development Academy Inc., the program partners with schools and community organizations in the Oakland Park area to deliver hands-on beauty training and mentorship, with a mission centered on guiding young people toward positive futures.
